Wanda Siu-Chan, M.S., RD
Wanda Siu-Chan has been the Dietetic Internship Program Director at SF State since 2007. She completed her B.S. in the Coordinated Undergraduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics/Dietetic Internship at the University of California, Berkeley, and her M.S. in Human Nutrition at the University of New Haven.
In addition to managing the internship, Wanda also teaches the internship course, Seminar in Nutrition Assessment Across the Lifespan, as well as the Life Cycle undergraduate course. Wanda’s areas of interest include diabetes education, clinical nutrition, and life cycle nutrition. She is grateful for the opportunity to support so many amazing students and interns who go on to make a truly positive impact on the health and well-being of the individuals and communities they serve. Wanda is also fortunate to work with all the wonderful preceptors in the San Francisco Bay Area who support the internship program and mentor the interns.
Wanda previously worked in inpatient and outpatient care, clinical nutrition management, diabetes training and education, home care, and program management for a healthcare website. Additionally, she has held several leadership positions at the local and state level and is currently serving as a Delegate representing California to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ House of Delegates.
Wanda is a Bay Area native and loves being close to the mountains, the coast, and San Francisco. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, eating, and anything and everything related to food. She also enjoys gardening, hiking, reading, and playing board games.
