I work as a clinical dietitian for the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center. The majority of my work week is typically spent in the hospital, but I also work in our outpatient nutrition clinics. At San Francisco State University I have taught a variety of courses including DFM 485 Medical Nutrition Therapy II, CFS 355 Nutrition for Wellness, CFS 453 Nutrition in the Life Cycle, and DFM 253 Nutrition in Health and Disease. I am a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician and my research interests center around the use of amino acid and micronutrient supplements in the critically ill and early post-operative feeding of surgical patients.
In my free time I enjoy running, mountain biking, and hiking in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area and the Sierras.
